Washing For the First Time

Washing a horse for the first time can be a positive experience if you take small steps and set them up for lots of wins. I try to keep their first session really short and just gauge how they are coping. If they are overwhelmed I will go back to an easy question or lessen the stimuli so they finish on a positive note.
