Flexions and Rein Back

Flexions and Rein Back

When teaching my horses body control movements such as the flexions and rein back, I like my horses to show case a positive step and be light off the contact, without fussing around or being dull to my aids. This enables my horses to be proactive with a good work ethic, no matter what situation they are in. I find that horses who are allowed to fuss around or be dull off the aids often become anxious horses in the future or shut down horses who need lots of pressure to respond.
